Day 30- Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
I thought I’d reblog this for day 30.
Day 29- What Do You Plan on Doing Now That LOST is Over?
Well, I’m currently re-watching, and will keep on doing so. I’m probably gonna be that 50 year old Lostie in a Dharma jumpsuit at ComicCon, and laughing at the young whipper-snappers who will just be discovering the “show that my grandpa watched when he was a teenager”. I don’t think I’ll ever be ready to let go of Lost. There’s nothing else even remotely like it.
Day 28- Your favourite thing about LOST
I guess my favourite thing about LOST were the characters, their arcs, and the relationships that they had with each other. I absolutely love that the characters were all somehow connected previously in their lives before the crash.
Day 27- What You’ll Miss the Most About LOST
Watching LOST has made me realize that most T.V. Shows are shallow. They very seldom delve beyond what is fairly obvious. LOST was very philosophical straight from beginning, and utilized the tug of war between universal themes in just about every plot line and character arc. Good vs. Evil, Life and Death, Fate and Freewill, etc. Almost nothing was as it seemed and it kept you hanging.
In so many ways, it payed homage to other movies, television shows, and written literature that paved the way for modern entertainment. Example: Kate’s motel shower scene in “Born to Run” is nearly identical to the shower scene in “Psycho”, with the Giacchino track backing it appropriately named “Kate’s Motel”. LOST was basically a nerd’s paradise with all the allusions going on.
Those nuances are what helped make LOST the show that it was, and that’s what I’ll miss.

Day 24- Whatever Tickles Your Fancy
”There are different facets of my personality that are reflected in different characters. The character that I identified with most last year was Jack, because he was thrust into a leadership role that he wasn’t fully ready to take on. He had to make a series of hard decisions that weren’t necessarily popular decisions. Entering the foray of being the executive producer of a television show, I could identify with his life situation more than I could with any of the other characters’ life situations. But I also feel that I have a cynical sense of humor that is reflected in Sawyer’s dialogue, and I have a vulnerable side that I always think about when I’m writing Kate. I have a happier, hippier, dippier side that is reflected when I’m writing Hurley.”
-Damon Lindelof
Day 22- A Website That’s LOST related
Well, www.lostpedia.com is an absolute necessity.
www.lost-media.com is great too.
I’m sure there are plenty more, but those are the two that I frequent.
